Floors may be wood or carpet. In wood flooring, a cream color or off white is absolutely gorgeous! You can accomplish this look yourself if you will just sand your wood floor down, then paint it with a pale colored paint that is durable. Then finish it off with two coats of semi-gloss polyurethane for more protection. If you decided to use a carpet, a biscuit colored berber is just perfect to create a shabby chic look.
To decorate your walls, you can use a pale or neutral colored paint or you can also use wallpaper with fine striped or delicate floral patterns.
